Ten additional biogenic carbon dioxide plants that could be brought online by CarbonClean Cycle within the next 18 months are expected to add an additional 340 tonnes of beverage-grade CO2 a day to the merchant market.
Erica Chase, President of the waste gases-to-CO2 company, told attendees at gasworld’s North American CO2 Summit that the company has signed 10 agreements with existing renewable natural gas (RNG) sites across the US.
Additionally, the company has another 40 sites – the equivalent of 1,600 tonnes a day – under evaluation.
“We have legal agreements on these 10 sites,” Chase said. “These are all for existing and operating RNG sites that we can quickly bring to market, and we have more third-tier projects in the pipeline.”
