2025 India Market Annual Review — Advancing Grid-Connected Residential and Commercial Energy Solutions by Growatt

In 2025, India’s energy storage and solar PV market continued its rapid growth. With increasing grid demand and persistent power outages, households and businesses are placing greater emphasis on efficient, reliable, and intelligent solar inverters and energy storage systems. The widespread adoption of rooftop solar and commercial energy storage systems has further highlighted the importance of integrated storage solutions in the Indian market.

In the grid-connected residential segment, our next-generation X3 (Pro) series inverters—including MIC 3300TL-X3 (Pro), MIN 5000TL-X3 (Pro E), and MIN 6000TL-X3 (Pro)—have become key solutions for households. These inverters support up to 22A DC input per MPPT, accommodating high-wattage PV modules, reducing string count and balance-of-system costs, while increasing overall energy yield and lowering the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) for homeowners. Over the past year, the X3 Pro series has enabled many Indian households to maximize rooftop solar generation. With intelligent monitoring and remote management, users have optimized their energy usage strategies and increased self-consumption.

Growatt WIT seriesIn the commercial energy storage segment, the WIT series three-phase hybrid inverters, particularly the WIT 100K HU (100 kW), have gained strong market traction. Designed for factories and small-to-medium enterprises, these systems manage inputs from solar arrays, the grid, diesel generators, and battery banks, ensuring stable power supply during outages and peak demand periods. Throughout 2025, multiple enterprise customers have reported significant reductions in energy costs and improved operational efficiency, supporting their transition toward greener energy practices.

For mid-sized commercial applications, the MOD 15KTL3-X2 (15 kW) and MID 50KTL3-X2 (50 kW) three-phase string inverters have met the growing demand for rooftop solar. Their high conversion efficiency, multiple MPPT trackers, and wide voltage range ensure maximum energy harvest even on complex rooftops, providing reliable and flexible green energy solutions for small and medium enterprises.

In the large commercial and utility-scale segment, high-capacity inverters such as the MAX 125KTL3-X2 LV (125 kW) and the India debut MAX 350KTL3-X (350 kW) have helped large rooftop and ground-mounted PV installations improve energy efficiency, reduce the cost per kWh, and provide robust system protection. High DC/AC ratio support and advanced safety features make these solutions ideal for India’s rapidly expanding commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar projects.

2025 Market Achievements and Highlights:

Grid-Connected Residential: X3 (Pro) series enables higher PV self-consumption, intelligent monitoring, and optimized rooftop generation.

Commercial Energy Storage: WIT 100K HU supports self-consumption optimization, reliable backup power, and business energy efficiency.

Mid-Sized Commercial: MOD 15KTL3-X2 / MID 50KTL3-X2 deliver high efficiency, multiple MPPT tracking, and rooftop adaptability.

Large Commercial & Utility-Scale: MAX 125KTL3-X2 LV / MAX 350KTL3-X provide high power, efficiency, and cost-effective solutions.

Core Value: Enhanced energy independence, reduced operational costs, support for green transition, and alignment with local grid requirements.

Throughout 2025, we have continued to expand the adoption of intelligent solar and energy storage solutions across India. By combining technological innovation, tailored product development, and reliable service support, we have helped more households and enterprises achieve energy autonomy, green efficiency, and sustainable electricity usage, contributing to India’s long-term energy sustainability goals.
