Air Liquide talks up electronics growth in Asia

Industrial gas major Air Liquide as said the continued growth of electronics production in Asia is boosting its projects pipeline for the high-purity carrier gases that serve this market.

In the company’s latest earnings call, CEO Francois Jackow said the first quarter of 2025 had seen two carrier gas projects in Asia confirmed and two more had started production, with a pipeline of projects still in development.

Jackow said the development translated into 10% growth in carrier gases in Asia as well as more widely, and said this strength was propping up the 3% growth registered in Asia in Q1.

Jackow said Air Liquide had about 80 projects in development globally, and a good many of these were in electronics in Asia.
