Sungrow Unveils Full Spectrum of Clean Energy Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2025, Reinforcing Global Leadership in Renewables

Sungrow at Intersolar Europe 2025

Sungrow, the world’s leading PV inverter and energy storage system (ESS) supplier, unveiled a comprehensive suite of clean energy solutions at Intersolar Europe 2025, reflecting its deep commitment to accelerating the global transition to renewables. From utility-scale systems and C&I solutions to residential energy ecosystems, Sungrow’s presence underscored its dedication to delivering scalable, efficient, and future-ready technologies.

The company’s innovations directly address challenges highlighted in the BloombergNEF Global Renewable Energy Outlook, which warns that key markets are not on track to meet renewable energy targets. Sungrow’s latest technologies aim to close this gap by empowering developers and consumers with smarter, more reliable clean energy tools.

Utility-Scale Solutions: Modular, Reliable, AI-Enhanced

Marking a European debut, Sungrow introduced the next-generation 1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter, an award-winning solution designed for large-scale applications. This inverter features a flexible architecture with block capacities ranging from 800kW to 9.6MW, offering advanced modularity. Its split design isolates key components like IGBTs and capacitors, allowing one-hour module swaps, significantly improving operation and maintenance (O&M) efficiency in the field.

Engineered for harsh environments, the inverter meets IP66 standards and operates without derating at temperatures up to 45°C. Enhanced with AI-driven fault detection and DC-side safety features, it also supports advanced grid-forming functions, setting a benchmark in performance and reliability.

Complementing its inverter innovations, Sungrow showcased the PowerTitan 2.0 — a 5MWh liquid-cooled ESS designed for efficiency, safety, and simplified deployment. Its all-in-one AC-DC block has already seen widespread global adoption.

Sungrow also highlighted its grid-forming solar-plus-storage solutions, emphasizing their role in stabilizing and strengthening future-proof energy infrastructures.

C&I Segment: Flexible and Future-Ready Energy

Europe’s commercial and industrial (C&I) sector is witnessing strong momentum, marked by a steady rise in annual installations of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) projects. In response, Sungrow has developed a comprehensive product portfolio tailored to meet the energy needs of small, medium, and large-scale C&I applications.

One of the standout offerings is the PowerStack 255CS, Sungrow’s latest liquid-cooled ESS for C&I use. Built with cutting-edge 314Ah battery cells, it provides adaptable energy capacities—257kWh for 2-hour configurations and 514kWh for 4-hour setups—delivering over 90% round-trip efficiency and a projected 20-year lifespan. The system comes fully integrated with a power conversion system (PCS), energy management system (EMS), and battery management system (BMS), and holds key international certifications including UL9540 and NFPA855/69/68/14. It’s engineered for versatility across various deployment scenarios such as standalone ESS, PV+ESS, EV charging integrations, and microgrids.

Also featured is the SH125CX hybrid inverter, which delivers a nominal output of 125kW. When paired with the PowerStack 255CS, it enables a fully DC-coupled configuration, optimizing efficiency and system integration for medium to large C&I energy solutions. Key features include:

  • Flexible Design: This 125kW hybrid inverter is fit for all modules in the market with a maximum current per MPPT of 40A. It can reach DC-AC ratios of up to 2.0, which is needed in the European market. The DC-coupled solution can save CAPEX, such as some parts of the AC distribution, the PV inverter, or the external energy management system.
  • Flexible Scalability: Supports up to 24 units in parallel, achieving a maximum 3MW AC output and 6MWh ESS capacity.
  • Flexible Retrofitting: This new SH125CX solution is also ideal for retrofitting, replacing the PV inverter with a hybrid inverter in one step, transforming it into a power storage hub instantly.
  • Flexible Adaptation: The SH125CX is equipped with IP66 and C5 anti-corrosion, resilient to harsh conditions. The inverter is embedded with an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter 3.0 (AFCI 3.0) function, identifying DC-side arc faults across cable lengths up to 450 meters, ensuring maximum safety.

Residential Energy: Seamless, Smart, and Secure

Sungrow expanded its residential energy ecosystem with a broad portfolio covering solar, storage, and EV charging solutions across both 1-phase and 3-phase systems. Integrated with its iHomeManager and iSolarCloud platforms, Sungrow enables homeowners to manage energy intelligently and cost-effectively. The Dynamic Tariff feature, powered by in-house AI, optimizes energy consumption and trading based on real-time electricity rates.

The company also displayed its complete line of microinverters (450–1600W), designed for streamlined plug-and-play installations and reliable system performance. These are supported by intelligent diagnostics for fast deployment and low maintenance.

Sungrow’s balcony solar system, paired with 450W/800W microinverters and the iSolarCloud’s user-friendly interface, delivers real-time insights for small-scale residential setups.

Also on show was the new SH5/6/8/10RL hybrid inverter series, paired with SBL060 batteries (6kWh each), offering high scalability and adaptability for homeowners seeking flexible and secure energy storage.

Additional Innovations and Recognition

  • Sungrow received TÜV Rheinland VDE 4130 certification for its power conversion system (PCS) SC210HX, validating its durability and compatibility with extra-high voltage networks.
  • Sungrow received the EUPD Research Inverter Award.
  • Introduced the latest PV plant design software, iSolarDesign 3.0, a web-based platform that allows users to quickly and easily design and simulate solar projects.
  • Interactive lab for showcasing O&M capabilities.
  • An Augmented Reality (AR) tool for customers to visualize the different products on their own mobile devices.

Sungrow’s Growing Presence in Europe

With a presence in Europe spanning over 18 years, Sungrow continues to expand its local footprint. The company now operates more than 25 local offices, employs over 750 professionals in the region, and maintains two dedicated European R&D teams—demonstrating its long-term commitment to the continent’s clean energy future.

Shawn Shi, President of Sungrow Europe, commented: “Intersolar Europe 2025 represented a pivotal moment for Sungrow, as we launched a host of groundbreaking products designed to serve the evolving needs of the global market, with a strong focus on Europe. We are honored to have forged new partnerships with respected industry leaders and remain deeply grateful for the trust and support of our partners.
