LONGi Solar Wins Smarter E AWARD 2025 in Photovoltaics Category

LONGi Solar is delighted to share that its Hi-MO X10 back contact module has been recognized as a winner of the prestigious Smarter E AWARD 2025 in the Photovoltaics category. The award ceremony took place in Munich, just ahead of The smarter E Europe exhibition and Intersolar 2025.

The Hi-MO X10 received acclaim for its role in pushing the boundaries of module technology, thanks to the integration of LONGi’s proprietary second-generation Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC 2.0) technology, built on the high-efficiency LONGi TaiRay wafer. The judging panel also highlighted the innovative zero-busbar (0BB) design and the module’s Bipolar Hybrid Passivation Technology, which collectively deliver notable gains in efficiency, mechanical strength, and overall reliability. Additionally, the module’s built-in shading optimizer was recognized for cutting power output losses by 70% and lowering localized temperatures by up to 28%, thereby minimizing the risk of hotspots and potential fire hazards. According to the jury, the Hi-MO X10 sets a new benchmark for performance and dependability in solar module technology.

Initially introduced in November 2024, the Hi-MO X10 has quickly gained traction across European markets. The module embodies LONGi’s strategic commitment to research and development in back contact technology, aimed at addressing evolving needs for performance, aesthetics, and diverse applications in today’s dynamic energy environment.

The Hi-MO X10 is a flagship product within LONGi’s newly launched EcoLife Series

Engineered to deliver exceptional output, the Hi-MO X10 offers up to 670W for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications and 500W in its 54-cell residential version. Boasting a module efficiency of 24.8% and a cell efficiency of 26.6%, it surpasses traditional TOPCon modules by up to 30W. Its zero-busbar (0BB) design optimizes light capture, enhancing performance in diffuse lighting conditions—ideal for regions with frequent cloud cover. Designed for long-term durability, the module has a low first-year degradation rate of just 1% and a linear annual degradation of 0.35%. An improved power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C ensures stable energy output in both hot and temperate environments.

The 54-cell Hi-MO X10 module, part of the EcoLife Series, is tailored for homeowners seeking high performance, enhanced safety, and sleek aesthetics.
