SGN, which currently has 42 biomethane plants connected to its Scottish and southern England networks, aims to supply one million houses with biomethane by 2031.

Adam Kingdon, Founder and CEO of Utonomy, said its technology is helping to prepare the networks for the low-carbon transition by enabling operators to control pressures and prioritises green gases such as biomethane and green hydrogen.
