German engine designer MAN Energy Solutions will now be known as Everllence, after undergoing a rebrand that the company says better reflects its focus on industrial decarbonisation.
“Our name change is the logical next step in implementing our ‘Moving big things to zero’ strategy, which focuses on decarbonisation and efficiency solutions for hard-to-abate industries,” said Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of Everllence.
The name itself is a portmanteau of ‘Ever’ and ‘Excellence’. The firm said that this is a nod to its storied history, which includes the first ‘ever’ development of the diesel engine in collaboration with inventor Rudolf Diesel, and its “pursuit of excellence.”
“We have defined five dimensions of excellence: in our customer relationships, in process and quality, in technology, in sustainability, and in our corporate culture,” the company said in a statement.
