In Conversation with Hanson Hu: TCL’s Vision for Global Residential Solar at SNEC 2025

What key innovations or new technologies is TCL Photovoltaic Tech showcasing at SNEC 2025?

At SNEC 2025, TCL Photovoltaic Tech is proud to unveil two flagship products that underscore our commitment to household energy independence and intelligent energy management: the Grid-Tied Home Solar System and the Home Energy Storage System.

These systems reflect the success of our domestic residential energy model, which we are now expanding globally. By aligning with TCL Home Appliance’s robust overseas infrastructure, we are able to offer localized service ecosystems. This includes everything from pre-sales consultation to post-sales maintenance — all designed to ensure a smooth and secure energy experience for homeowners across international markets. Our aim is to provide reliable, integrated energy solutions that protect households from power instability and rising energy costs.

What are TCL’s global plans for 2025 regarding partnerships and projects?

Looking ahead to 2025, TCL Photovoltaic Tech is strategically leveraging TCL’s global brand reputation and vast network in the home appliance industry to fuel our solar energy business expansion.

On the B2B front, we are strengthening our international distribution by cultivating a wide-reaching network of partners and distributors. This move will enhance accessibility to our photovoltaic and energy storage solutions in key markets.

Simultaneously, on the B2C side, we are utilizing TCL’s online and offline channels — including retail storefronts, e-commerce platforms, and digital traffic from TCL’s home appliance ecosystem — to reach end-users directly. Our goal is to deliver a one-stop TCL Residential PV System to customers worldwide, offering a unified solution that encompasses solar generation, smart energy storage, and real-time energy management.

What technological advancements in your latest modules improve performance and reliability?

We’ve introduced our latest innovation: the Three-Phase Split-Type Home Energy Storage System, designed to set a new benchmark in reliability, aesthetics, and installation efficiency.

Key advancements include:

  • Industrial Design: We’ve incorporated TCL’s expertise in home appliance design to craft a storage unit that seamlessly integrates into residential environments. The result is a minimalist, premium look that blends functionality with modern aesthetics.
  • Installation & Performance: Our battery modules feature tool-free blind mating, which drastically reduces installation time and simplifies wiring. Additionally, the system includes a low-temperature heating module, enabling it to operate reliably even in harsh, cold climates — a critical factor for customers in northern regions.
  • Hybrid Inverter Capability: This system supports 200% overload capacity for up to 10 seconds and offers sub-10 millisecond switching from grid to backup mode. These features ensure high-performance operation and provide uninterrupted power for essential household loads, even during grid outages.

Together, these innovations not only enhance energy efficiency but also empower homeowners with a resilient and user-friendly solar energy infrastructure.
