Stallion India Fluorochemicals (SIFL) plans to build a new ₹120 crore ($13.7m) refrigerant gas facility in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
The facility, to be located in the Bhilwara district, will initially produce R-32, a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant used in air conditioning systems and heat pumps. SIFL also plans to produce several other blends commonly used in cooling and refrigeration.
According to Shazad Sheriar Rustomji, Managing Director and CEO of SIFL, the new project – which is expected to begin production in 2026 – is part of the company’s effort to ensure stable gas supply.
