Waaree Energies Limited proudly announced that it has retained its leadership as India’s No. 1 solar module supplier for the April–June 2025 quarter, achieving a 14% market share in the first half of FY2025, as per JMK Research & Analytics’s Q2 Solar Report.

According to the report, India added 4.2 GW of new utility-scale solar capacity and 1.3 GW of rooftop installations during the quarter, pushing the country’s cumulative solar capacity to 91 GW. With more than 70 GW of projects under development, India is on track to achieve its ambitious target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030.

“This recognition by JMK Research reaffirms Waaree’s leadership at a time when India’s renewable ambitions are accelerating,” said Dr. Amit Paithankar, Whole-time Director & CEO, Waaree Energies Limited. “Our success is not just about shipment volumes—it reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and building India’s solar self-reliance. Every module manufactured at Waaree is a step toward powering a sustainable, energy-independent India.”

He added, “Maintaining the No. 1 spot is not just about numbers — it is about consistently delivering reliable solutions that empower our partners and customers, while powering India’s journey towards energy independence and sustainability.”

With a global solar module manufacturing capacity of ~16.7 GW and a domestic solar cell capacity of 5.4 GW, Waaree continues to drive India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem under the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. The company’s state-of-the-art facilities supply high-efficiency modules and cells for both domestic and international markets.

Waaree’s growing global footprint is also reflected in its strong international orders, including a 452 MW supply in the U.S., positioning Indian solar manufacturing as a trusted pillar in global renewable supply chains.

With India projected to add over 30 GW of solar capacity in FY2026, Waaree states that it is well-positioned to scale alongside sectoral growth. The company continues to invest in advanced technologies, quality systems, and market expansion to reinforce its status as a preferred partner for developers, EPCs, and utilities worldwide.

Founded in 1990, Waaree Energies Limited is India’s leading renewable energy company, headquartered in Mumbai. With advanced manufacturing facilities totaling ~16.7 GW module capacity (including 1.3 GW from Indosolar and 1.6 GW in Texas, USA) and up to 5.4 GW of solar cell capacity, Waaree operates across more than 25 countries. Its portfolio includes solar panels and inverters manufacturing, EPC services, green hydrogen, battery energy storage, green energy infrastructure, and data centres.
