Jones Power has been chosen to handle civil construction for two major solar and battery storage projects by top U.S. solar EPC contractors. The projects, located near Phoenix and Tucson, have a combined capacity of 290 MW and over 1 GW. Construction is already underway, and Jones Power’s work is expected to wrap up in 2025. The Phoenix project may see additional phases that could extend into 2026 or 2027.

Jones Power’s work includes erosion control, site clearing, earthwork, building access roads, laydown yards, and final seeding. To meet IRA requirements, Jones Power is utilizing the Power Forward apprenticeship program. For both projects, clients have the option to keep a Jones Power maintenance team onsite during pile driving, racking, module installation, electrical work, and commissioning.

John Clark, CEO at Jones Power, stated, “We’re pleased to secure repeat business with two very important clients as we expand our footprint of experience in Arizona on these two high-profile projects.”

This team would help with road upkeep, erosion and dust control, mowing, and other tasks to support smooth project completion. Jones Power is recognized as an industry leader for its Power Forward apprenticeship program, commitment to prevailing wage standards, and strong project documentation processes, ensuring top-level compliance with IRA requirements.
