Car manufacturer Mazda has unveiled a microalgae-fuelled concept car that is designed to capture carbon dioxide emissions from exhaust fumes while it is being driven.
It showcased the car at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, held in Tokyo earlier this month.
Mazda plans for its Vision X-Coupe to be powered by a plug-in hybrid system integrating a two-rotor turbo engine with a motor and battery, and fitted with carbon capture technology.
