Plug Power to supply 2GW of electrolysers for Uzbekistan eSAF

US-based hydrogen solutions provider Plug Power will deliver up to 2GW of its electrolyser systems to support development of sustainable aviation fuel, eSAF, and green diesel by Australian firm Allied Biofuels at a flagship new facility in Uzbekistan.

The deal was signed in Australia during a visit to the region by Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh.

“We’re turning hydrogen commitments into real, operating projects at multi-gigawatt scale,” he said. “Signing this supply agreement in Australia highlights our deep engagement in the global hydrogen economy.”

Uzbekistan might seem an unlikely location for one of the world’s largest eSAF and green diesel projects, but several factors explain its selection.
