Samsung Heavy Industries to scale up Amogy systems

Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) is to build Amogy’s ammonia-to-power systems under an expanded corporate relationship.

The multi-year manufacturing contract will see SHI establish a dedicated facility in South Korea, starting with a pilot project in Pohang in 2026, and look to develop land and maritime power generation applications.

The partnership follows Amogy and SHI’s ongoing collaboration to develop and deploy next-generation ammonia-based power systems for ships, which began with SHI’s strategic investment in Amogy in December 2024.
