Enphase Energy, Inc., a global energy technology leader and the world’s top supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, has announced a new partnership with Green Mountain Power (GMP) in Vermont to accelerate customer-focused grid transformation. Enphase will join GMP’s pioneering home battery lease program, enabling customers to access reliable backup power and share stored energy during peak demand periods—reducing grid costs and boosting statewide resiliency.
GMP’s lease program, part of its 75 MW virtual power plant—the largest dispatchable energy resource in Vermont—will now feature Enphase’s IQ® Battery 10C™ systems. Eligible customers can lease two units for $55 per month over ten years or pay a one-time cost of $5,500. All systems include a 15-year warranty, 24/7 support, and monitoring through the Enphase® App.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Enphase to bring cutting-edge technology directly to our customers – strengthening the grid, improving reliability, and driving down costs,” said Mari McClure, president and CEO of GMP. “These innovative solutions are already helping customers stay powered through increasingly severe storms and grid events. We’re expanding access so more people can enjoy true energy independence and resilience, transforming the grid into a dynamic, two-way system – interconnected, adaptable, and stronger together.”
Looking ahead, GMP and Enphase plan to expand their collaboration with Enphase’s upcoming IQ® Bidirectional EV Charger, expected in 2026. The charger will allow electric vehicles to power homes during outages or feed energy back to the grid—further enhancing Vermont’s clean, flexible energy ecosystem.
