TotalEnergies invests in LNG-to-power and emissions cutting technology

TotalEnergies has made a 5.1bn all-stock transaction in Czech energy company EPH under a joint venture which is expected to close mid-2026.

The deal boosts TotalEnergies’ presence in the LNG-to-power sector, enabling it to monetise 2 million tonnes per year (mtpa) of LNG through power generation. The French multinational firm delivers 15 mtpa LNG to Europe.

The joint venture creates a 14GW-plus portfolio of assets across the UK, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, and France.
