KPI Green Energy Signs ₹696.50 Crore Contracts with SJVN for 200 MW Solar Project in Khavda

KPI Green Energy Limited has entered into contract agreements with SJVN Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, for the development of a 200 MW (AC) solar power project at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat. The project marks a significant expansion of KPI Green’s utility-scale renewable energy portfolio.

According to the company, the combined contract value—excluding GST—stands at ₹696.50 crore, reinforcing KPI Green’s position as a reliable engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for large-scale renewable energy projects. The agreement also highlights the growing trust placed by government sector entities in the company’s execution capabilities.

Under the three-part contract structure—comprising the Supply Contract, EPC Contract, and O&M Contract—KPI Green will undertake full turnkey responsibility for the project. The scope includes:

  • Supply of plant and equipment adhering to approved technical specifications
  • Civil, architectural, and structural works, along with erection and installation activities
  • Unloading, handling, storage, and insurance of project equipment
  • Testing, commissioning, and performance demonstration prior to operational acceptance
  • Three years of comprehensive operations and maintenance services following commercial operation date (COD), including supply of O&M consumables

The Khavda Renewable Energy Park, set to become the world’s largest renewable energy installation, is a key clean-energy development zone in India. With this latest project, KPI Green expands its footprint in Khavda to over 845 MWp (DC), strengthening its position as a growing EPC player in one of India’s most strategically significant renewable corridors.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KPI Green Energy, said the agreement with SJVN further validates the company’s track record in delivering large-scale solar projects.

“We are delighted to execute the contract for the 200 MW project at Khavda. Securing and formally entering into this agreement with a leading Government of India enterprise underscores KPI Green’s credibility and proven ability to deliver high-quality renewable energy projects on schedule,” he said.

The project is expected to be executed within stipulated timelines, supporting India’s broader renewable energy deployment goals.
