Stäubli Electrical Connectors and Create Energy have announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering a next-generation PV DC connector designed to address persistent challenges in the solar tracker market and elevate standards of safety, reliability, and performance across the renewable energy sector.

The announcement was made, by Stäubli Electrical Connectors, a Switzerland-based global leader in PV DC connectivity, and Create Energy, a US-based innovator in renewable energy technology. The collaboration brings together Stäubli’s longstanding expertise in high-quality electrical connectivity and Create Energy’s agile engineering and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Create Energy to bring this innovation to life and contribute to increasing safety and performance in PV tracker systems,” said Matthias Mack, Vice-President Renewable Energy at Stäubli. “Together, we’re setting a new benchmark for PV connectivity in the renewables space.”

The jointly developed connector is engineered to withstand the dynamic mechanical stresses and environmental conditions typical of solar tracking applications. By integrating premium materials, advanced electrical design principles, and precision engineering, the new solution aims to extend system lifespan, lower maintenance costs, and enhance overall energy yield.

Addressing a long-standing issue in the sector, Dean Solon, Founder and CEO of Create Energy, emphasized that misuse of PV connectors in tracker systems has historically compromised system integrity.
“This partnership with Stäubli allows us to deliver a purpose-built solution that not only solves this problem but also pushes the industry forward,” he said.

The next-generation PV DC connector is scheduled for market launch in 2026, with planned distribution across North America and select international markets.
