Agnikul Cosmos raises $17m to advance 3D-printed cryogenic rockets

India space startup Agnikul Cosmic (Agnikul) has raised $17m to bolster production of its reusable 3D-printed cryogenic engine technology, which will be used to launch satellites into space.

The funding round took the Chennai-based firm’s valuation to $500m, cementing it as a rising player in the country’s small-launch market.

The newly raised capital will go directly towards the expansion of aerospace and rocket parts production, advancement of its stage-recovery programme, and development of a 350-acre space campus in Tamil Nadu.
