A new platform aiming to scale electrofuel (e-fuel) production across Southeast Asia has been launched, with plans to deploy multiple commercial-scale projects using Infinium’s technology.
Singapore-based eFuels SEA said it will develop facilities converting captured carbon dioxide (CO2) and renewable power into drop-in sustainable aviation fuel and other low-carbon products. The platform is targeting both domestic demand and export markets.
The company will licence technology from US-based Infinium, whose e-fuel process combines renewable electricity, water and waste CO2 to produce liquid fuels compatible with existing infrastructure.
eFuels SEA plans to develop three to five projects across the region, supported by a management team with experience in energy markets, project finance and industrial development.
