Nel Hydrogen has received an order for $7m worth of PEM electrolysers from a French multi-energy refuelling company.
Under the deal, Mesure Process – a subsidiary of Synqo Energies – will receive the equipment for an unidentified European project, expected to be operational in 2027.
Synqo is set to undertake the installation and maintenance of the units that will supply refuelling stations and industrial applications.
The order is for a system under Nel’s MC PEM portfolio, which comes in 1.25MW or 2.5MW configurations. It remains unclear which capacity unit will be used by Mesure Process.
Mesure Process, which entered a partnership with Nel aimed at hydrogen refuelling in 2021, operates refuelling stations which dispense conventional fuels as well as bioCNG and hydrogen.
According to Nel, this builds on a prior order from the French company around which details remain unclear.
Nel recently posted a 31% in 2025 as losses more than trebled.
The company, however, believes its upcoming pressurised alkaline electrolyser technology – expected for launch this year after a late 2025 – will be able to compete on price for global projects.
