Bonfiglioli India Pvt Ltd has partnered with Cleantech Solar to source 9 MWp of solar power for its operations in Tamil Nadu, marking another step in the manufacturing sector’s shift towards renewable energy adoption.

The agreement is aimed at supporting Bonfiglioli India’s transition to cleaner energy by integrating solar power into its manufacturing facilities, reducing reliance on conventional energy sources and improving long-term energy efficiency.

The solar supply will be facilitated through Cleantech Solar’s open-access model, allowing Bonfiglioli India to procure renewable electricity without investing directly in power generation infrastructure. The model is increasingly being adopted by industrial players seeking to lower electricity costs and reduce operational carbon emissions.

The partnership reflects a broader trend in India’s commercial and industrial renewable energy market, where manufacturers are accelerating decarbonisation efforts in response to sustainability commitments and rising energy costs.

For Cleantech Solar, the deal strengthens its presence in India’s industrial renewable energy segment and expands its footprint in Tamil Nadu, a key market for open-access solar projects driven by strong industrial demand and supportive renewable energy policies.

The move also aligns with Bonfiglioli India’s sustainability agenda, reinforcing its focus on responsible manufacturing and cleaner industrial operations as businesses across India continue to increase renewable energy procurement to meet ESG and operational efficiency goals.
