Today there are moves under way all around the world from firms trying to realise the potential value in CO2 waste streams. In this busy space, the UK company Econic has made notable progress, with three projects delivering and new opportunities coming into view. Christian Annesley spoke to CEO Keith Wiggins

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a crucial industrial gas, and the list of uses today is growing fast, partly due to the need to decarbonise.

One of the keys to making the retrieval and utilisation of previously uncollected CO2 a viable intervention is to make it stack up in economic terms – and that’s made especially possible when what’s collected is put to some value-added use.
