Powering Industrial Reliability: The GoodWe ET 50kW Hybrid Inverter in Action

As businesses across Africa contend with rising energy costs and increasingly unreliable grid supply, the need for dependable commercial energy solutions has never been greater. The GoodWe ET 50kW Hybrid Inverter is designed to address these challenges, enabling businesses to enhance energy resilience while maintaining operational continuity.

Developed for commercial and industrial applications, the ET 50kW Hybrid Inverter seamlessly integrates solar generation, battery storage and grid power into a single intelligent system. It empowers businesses to maximise self-consumption, improve backup capabilities and optimise energy management according to their operational requirements.

One of the ET 50kW’s standout features is its ability to support substantial inductive loads, making it ideal for facilities operating heavy machinery, motors and equipment with high startup currents. This capability broadens its application across industries where uninterrupted power is critical to productivity.

A recent installation in Zambia highlights the inverter’s value in a demanding industrial environment.

Yasmeera Fabrication, a leading manufacturer of high-quality steel products serving both the construction sector and consumer markets in Zambia, required a robust energy solution to support its expanding operations. Reliable power is essential within manufacturing environments, where outages can lead to costly downtime and disruptions to production schedules.

To meet these requirements, the following GoodWe solution was deployed:

  • 2 × GoodWe ET 50kW Hybrid Inverters
  • 2 × GoodWe Static Transfer Switch (STS) units
  • 1 × GoodWe SEC3000C Controller

The system is capable of handling up to 35kW of inductive loads, allowing it to support heavy-duty equipment and applications characterised by high startup currents. This capability was particularly important in ensuring that Yasmeera Fabrication’s manufacturing processes could continue operating efficiently and reliably.

Today, the system powers the company’s daily operations, helping to improve energy reliability and safeguard business continuity. By integrating advanced hybrid technology with intelligent energy management, Yasmeera Fabrication has strengthened its operational resilience in an evolving energy landscape.

As commercial and industrial businesses across Africa seek smarter ways to manage their energy needs, solutions such as the GoodWe ET 50kW Hybrid Inverter are becoming increasingly important. Combining flexibility, reliability and high-performance capabilities, the ET Series is helping businesses build a more secure and sustainable energy future.
