US-based Plug Power has installed a 5MW electrolyser at European Energy’s hybrid wind and battery Power-to-X (PtX) facility in Måde, Denmark.
Successful commissioning and site acceptance of the GenEco PEM unit adds to 8.1MW of electrolysers at the site, to give the facility an operational annual capacity of 550 tonnes of green hydrogen.
It shortly follows European Energy for real-time balancing on operations across the site’s 16MW of wind energy and 5MW of battery storage.
