Indian Green Energy Stocks Deliver Mixed Performance As Sensex And NIFTY End Higher On July 15, 2026

Indian stock markets ended on a mixed note on July 15, 2026, with the benchmark indices posting modest gains despite varied performances across the green energy and power sectors. Investor sentiment remained cautious as buying in select large-cap stocks helped support the broader market, while several renewable energy companies witnessed selling pressure.

At the close of trading, the S&P BSE Sensex gained 0.17% to settle at 77,185.43, while the NIFTY 50 edged up 0.11% to finish at 24,079.10. However, the green energy sector delivered a mixed performance, reflecting different investor views on traditional energy companies expanding into clean energy and pure-play renewable firms.

Reliance Industries, which continues to expand its clean energy business, ended the day with a modest gain of 0.16% on the NSE, closing at Rs 1,295.10.

On the losing side, Adani Green Energy was among the biggest decliners of the day. The stock dropped 2.52% on the BSE to Rs 1,564.00 and fell 2.96% on the NSE to close at Rs 1,557.00. Borosil Renewables also remained under pressure, declining more than 2% to end at Rs 622.00.

JSW Energy also weakened, falling over 1.3% to Rs 549.60, while Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy declined by more than 1% to close at Rs 239.34. NTPC Green Energy Ltd. also ended in negative territory, slipping about 1.2% to Rs 93.00.

Among other energy-related stocks, Amara Raja Energy & Mobility gained around 0.60% to close at Rs 900.25. Exide Industries remained largely unchanged, easing 0.17% to Rs 418.75.
