ACME Solar Commissions 15 MW/240.752 MWh BESS Project In Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced the successful commissioning of a 15 MW/240.752 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan. The project was commissioned on August 27, 2026, through the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited.

The BESS project is located in Sanwara and Mehar Nagar villages in Pokhran Tehsil of Jaisalmer district. The facility is scheduled to achieve its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on August 29, 2026.

With the commissioning of this project, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited has increased its total commissioned capacity to 300 MW/1,354.224 MWh. The development strengthens the company’s growing presence in India’s energy storage sector and supports the increasing need for flexible power infrastructure alongside renewable energy generation.

The company formally informed BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited about the commissioning through a regulatory filing. The disclosure was submitted by Rajesh Sodhi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

The latest announcement follows an earlier company communication issued on July 20, 2026, regarding the project.

The commissioning of the BESS facility in Jaisalmer adds energy storage capacity to one of India’s major renewable energy regions. Battery storage can help improve the flexibility and reliability of power systems by storing electricity and making it available when required.

The project is another step in ACME Solar’s strategy to expand beyond renewable power generation and strengthen its portfolio in energy storage and clean energy infrastructure.
