Louth Callan Renewables, a leading company in renewable energy construction, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 30-megawatt (MW) Leeds Solar project in Maine. This project is a major step toward expanding clean energy in the region and aligns with the company’s mission to develop sustainable infrastructure. Spanning approximately 110 acres, the Leeds Solar project was designed and built to provide renewable energy to thousands of homes and businesses across Maine.

By harnessing solar power, it is expected to offset thousands of metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, making a significant contribution to both state and national efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This milestone underscores Louth Callan Renewables’ commitment to advancing clean energy solutions and supporting the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible energy system.

Nicholas Sylvestre Managing Member of Louth Callan Renewables, mentioned “We are thrilled to have successfully built the Leeds Solar project and contribute to Maine’s transition to renewable energy. This project underscores our dedication to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy infrastructure that benefits both the environment and local communities.”

The Leeds Solar project has also provided significant economic benefits to the region. During construction, it created 90 jobs, along with long-term operational roles that will support the local workforce. Additionally, the project will contribute to the local economy through tax revenue and lease payments, benefiting the community for years to come.

This project is part of Louth Callan Renewables’ larger strategy to expand its clean energy portfolio and develop large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. The company remains committed to working closely with local stakeholders, policymakers, and industry partners to accelerate the transition to a greener and more resilient energy future.
