BOC UK & Ireland has introduced a new generation of Cryospeed tankers to its fleet.
The first batch of 5,000-litre tankers is now on the road, substantially larger than the more commonly used vehicles, whose capacities range from 500 to 3,000 litres.
They are designed to support the safe transport of liquid gases, including argon, CO2, nitrogen, and oxygen.
Benefits of the larger vehicles are they offer fewer refill cycles, greater stock security and operational flexibility, and bridge the gap between conventional mini-bulk vessels and on-site bulk storage solutions.
The tankers are equipped with vacuum-insulated vessels that are filled on site by trained operators. They will be deployed across a range of applications, including research, industry, and healthcare.
BOC said the tankers had been developed through close collaboration with experts in vehicle manufacturing, engineering and cryogenic technology, with every element “carefully designed to deliver safe, efficient and dependable performance”.
BOC UK has been involved in the cryogenic gas industry for over 50 years. It became part of the Linde group 20 years ago.
