In this episode of The 1895 Podcast, we revisit the closing panel session of gasworld’s North American CO2 Summit 2026, as our panel dissect the what if scenarios raised across the event.
Joining the conversation were: Bruce Woerner, of Woerner CO2 Consulting; Rich Gottwald, of the Compressed Gas Association (CGA); Jeff Holyoak, of Aircapture; and Vida Gabriel, of TerraFixing.
This session covered the reliability of CO2 supply, 45Q and 45Z tax credits, and whether carbon credits could outbid the merchant market for the CO2 molecule. The panel also discuss if direct air capture is already economically viable, what 100 million tonnes of CO2 from data centre power could mean for the industry, and the need for new sources to come online.
The 1895 Podcast is a content-driven podcast for the global industrial gases business, bringing together topical news, views and analysis of the stories that matter in the industry.
