The Indian stock market remained largely stable on October 27, 2026, as benchmark indices traded close to their previous closing levels. The S&P BSE Sensex closed at 73,598.67, down marginally by 0.01%, while the Nifty 50 gained 0.03% to settle at 22,760.75. Despite the limited movement in the broader market, several renewable energy and green energy stocks recorded notable gains, supported by selective buying across small-cap and mid-cap counters.
Insolation Energy emerged as one of the strongest performers in the renewable energy segment, rising 10.00% on the BSE to close at ₹69.18. The stock also advanced 9.14% on the NSE, reflecting strong buying interest. Kabra Extrusion followed with a 5.00% gain on the BSE, closing at ₹742.95. Websol Energy also advanced 4.99% to ₹66.69, while JSW Energy climbed 4.67% to close at ₹471.00. Juniper Green Energy gained 4.58%, ending the session at ₹241.95.
Among major renewable energy companies, Adani Green Energy recorded a gain of approximately 2.24%, trading at ₹1,276.55 on the BSE and ₹1,277.30 on the NSE. NTPC Green Energy advanced 1.95% to ₹83.33, while Olectra Greentech increased 1.96% to close at ₹979.00. These gains indicated continued investor interest in renewable power generation and associated infrastructure companies.
Tata Power registered a modest increase of 0.44%, closing at ₹340.30 on the BSE. Larsen & Toubro also edged higher by 0.18% to ₹3,683.50. Reliance Industries remained largely unchanged at ₹1,202.00, reflecting limited movement among some of the market’s larger companies.
However, the session also saw minor declines in selected energy-related stocks. Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) fell 0.77% on the BSE to close at ₹103.00. EKI Energy Services also recorded a marginal decline of approximately 0.4%, indicating that buying interest was not uniform across the sector.
The day’s trading reflected a mixed but generally positive performance among renewable energy stocks, even as the broader market remained range-bound. Strong gains in solar manufacturing companies, independent power producers and selected clean energy businesses contrasted with modest losses in a few counters.
Overall, the October 27 session highlighted selective investor participation in India’s green energy market. While benchmark indices showed little movement, individual stocks attracted buying interest, suggesting that investors continued to focus on specific companies within the renewable energy and power sectors.
