Industrial gas major Linde is keeping its options open for a potential sale of its underperforming US healthcare business, Lincare, but has stopped short of confirming whether it intends to sell the business.

During its third-quarter earnings call, Linde executives were asked whether a sale was being considered following the transfer of Lincare out of the Americas reporting segment.
