Swedish compressor firm Atlas Copco has continued its spate of acquisitions, buying the operating assets of Portuguese compressed air equipment and services firm Iberoair.
Based in Águeda, the company already imports and distributes Atlas Copco equipment, serving customers across the ceramics, light manufacturing, and mechanical industries in central Portugal.
Set to become part of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area, 20 Iberoair employees will join the group.
While the purchase price was not disclosed, it adds to a series of acquisitions by the company, among them, another Portuguese-based compressed air distributor names LusoAr.
This year alone, Atlas Copco has acquired over 10 businesses, the majority of which distribute compressed air equipment.
In its third-quarter results, the group reported a 29% year-on-year increase in orders to SEK 52.34m ($5.34m), with revenues also growing 15% to SEK 47.9m ($4.89m).
