NTPC Green Energy Fully Commissions 300 MW Shambu Ki Burj-2 Solar Project In Bikaner, Rajasthan

NTPC Green Energy Limited has declared the commercial operation of the fourth and final part capacity of 18.32 MW from the 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 Solar PV Project at Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project is part of the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-I & II and became operational at 00:00 hours on March 1, 2025.

The earlier phases of the project were commissioned in multiple stages. The first part, with a capacity of 150 MW, was declared operational on September 29, 2022. The second phase, consisting of 98.78 MW, began operations on September 30, 2024, at 23:00 hours, while the third phase 32.90 MW was operational from October 31, 2024.

With the completion of this final phase, the entire 300 MW solar project is now fully functional. This marks another step in NTPC Green Energy’s commitment to expanding renewable energy generation and supporting India’s clean energy goals.
