Surinder Kumar Negi to Drive Growth as KPI Green Energy’s COO

KPI Green Energy has announced the appointment of Surinder Kumar Negi as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective March 12, 2025. In his new role, Negi will focus on expanding the company’s renewable energy portfolio, enhancing transmission infrastructure, and driving growth in both domestic and international markets.

With over 40 years of experience in the power sector, Negi brings extensive expertise in large-scale project execution, grid integration, and operational efficiency. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from G.B. Pant University, Pantnagar, and has played a key role in advancing power transmission, grid modernization, and infrastructure development.

Negi previously served as Managing Director of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO), where he led the expansion of Gujarat’s transmission network and spearheaded the adoption of Smart Grid technologies. His career also includes leadership positions at NTPC, POWERGRID, ALSTOM, and Reliance Energy, where he contributed to high-voltage transmission projects, system planning, and privatization efforts.

Currently, Negi serves as a Director at Skipperseil and Manacles Transformers. Under his leadership, Skipperseil has developed advanced transformer manufacturing capabilities, optimized EPC operations, and promoted renewable energy initiatives in India and Africa.

KPI Green Energy is engaged in the development and management of grid-connected solar power projects, supplying power from its solar plants to various consumers.
