Galveston LNG to supply LNG to Dunmura for marine fuel

Galveston LNG Bunker Port (GLBP), a Texas-based joint venture between Pilot LNG and Seapath Group, has signed a deal to supply liquefied natural gas to UK-based LNG bunkering specialist Dunmura.

The supply and purchase agreement allows GLBP to supply LNG either at the port or directly to ships. Dunmura will use the LNG to meet growing demand for LNG as marine fuel.

Peter Mackey, CEO of Dunmura, said, “The continued adoption of LNG is a key energy transition pathway for shipping, and we are excited to support the acceleration of that transition.”

If the project goes ahead as planned, GLBP will become the first dedicated LNG bunkering facility on the US Gulf Coast.
