ADNOC and Petronas sign 15-Year LNG deal for Ruwais Project

ADNOC has signed a 15-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement with Malaysia’s Petronas, marking its second offtake deal for the Ruwais LNG project in Abu Dhabi.

Under the terms of the deal, ADNOC will supply Petronas with one million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, with deliveries expected to start in 2028. The news builds on a previously signed Heads of Agreement between the two companies.

Fatema Al Nuaimi, Executive Vice-President, Downstream Business Management at ADNOC, welcomed the news, adding that ADNOC is proud to partner with Petronas.

“This milestone further underscores ADNOC’s role as a reliable global energy supplier and supports growing demand in Asia for cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.”
