AEA President Hails Trump’s ‘Strong’ Energy Picks

Incoming U.S. President Donald Trump has “chosen strong candidates to comprise his energy team”, American Energy Alliance (AEA) President Thomas Pyle said in a statement sent to Rigzone.

“Throughout his campaign, President Trump expressed his unwavering commitment to American energy, and his selections show how serious he is about unlocking our country’s resource potential,” Pyle noted in the statement, which was sent to Rigzone by the AEA head.

“He has chosen strong candidates to comprise his energy team, all of which should instill confidence in the American people,” he added.

“All of these leaders share a vision for energy dominance and economic growth. Their dedication to prioritizing domestic energy production and addressing regulatory burdens will serve to spur job creation and strengthen our economy,” Pyle went on to note.

A statement posted on Donald J. Trump’s Truth Social page on November 23 announced the nomination of Russell Thurlow Vought as the Director of the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

A separate statement posted on the Truth Social page on November 16 announced that Chris Wright would be joining the Trump administration as Secretary of Energy and as a “member of the newly formed Council of National Energy”, and another statement published on November 15 revealed that Doug Burgum would join Trump as Secretary of the Interior and as Chairman of the National Energy Council.

A statement posted on the Truth Social page on November 11 announced that Lee Zeldin would be appointed to serve as “the administrator of the Environmental Protective Agency”.

Pyle said in his statement that “it’s encouraging to see President-elect Trump nominate Russ Vought to resume his leadership at the Office of Management and Budget”.

“Under his direction during the first Trump administration, he focused on cutting through red tape to make government more efficient. His vision and focus are exactly what is needed in the push to strengthen America’s infrastructure and champion American energy,” he added.

Pyle also noted that Wright is the right person for the job, adding that, “over the past decade, Wright has led the way making the moral case for energy development, recognizing the link between economic growth and environmental progress”.

“He is a champion for reliable, affordable energy and the role it plays in ensuring American prosperity and improving people’s lives in the developing world,” he added.

The AEA President highlighted in his statement that Burgum “hails from one of the largest energy-producing states in the country” and said he “knows what it takes to get the job done”.

“As Governor of North Dakota, he has overseen one of America’s great energy growth stories and his perspective will be valuable as we work to grow American energy production,” he added.

Commenting on Zeldin, Pyle noted in the statement that Zeldin’s leadership at the EPA “will bring the fresh perspective that is so desperately needed”.

“By assembling a team of energy experts and proven leaders, the incoming administration is positioning America to bolster its role as a global energy powerhouse,” Pyle said in his statement.

“President-elect Trump is clear in his vision for affordable, reliable energy for all Americans; before he has even taken the oath of office, he is already positioning our country back on the right track and making American energy great again,” he added.

In a previous release sent to Rigzone by Pyle, the AEA announced it was endorsing Donald Trump for President of the United States.

In that release, Pyle said Trump’s commitment to unleashing domestic energy production during his time in office helped lower energy costs for all Americans, created jobs, and promoted energy security.
