Air Products completes $70m Missouri membrane expansion

Air Products Membrane Solutions has made its largest-ever single-site investment at its manufacturing and logistics centre in Maryland Heights, St. Louis, Missouri.

The $70m expansion reflects growing demand in biogas and hydrogen recovery applications, which is driving a need for gas separation and purification membranes.

Announced in May 2024, the for completion by end-2025.

Dr. Erin Sorensen, General Manager of Air Products Membrane Solutions, said the expansion allows the company to meet growing customer demand.

The facility will produce PRISM GreenSep membrane separators for bio-LNG production and PRISM N2Sep membrane separators for nitrogen separation from compressed air.

Air Products has made more than 70 new hires to support the expanded facility.
