Air Water America, the US subsidiary of the Japanese industrial group Air Water, has announced the consolidation of its two US cryogenic equipment companies, TOMCO Systems and Taylor-Wharton America.
The move aligns Air Water’s US manufacturing capacity under one unit, with production being centralised in Georgia.
Manufacturing at Taylor-Wharton’s Baytown, Texas, facility will wind down in early 2026, with production relocating to Loganville, Georgia, where TOMCO is headquartered.
Air Water has said all existing Taylor-Wharton warranties will continue to be honoured and the Taylor-Wharton brand will continue to be used across the market.
“Taylor-Wharton’s intellectual property will be transferred to TOMCO, ensuring continuity of product innovation and technical excellence,” Eric Rottier, Chief Operating Officer at Air Water America, said.
“The Taylor-Wharton commercial and engineering teams will remain in place, continuing support of our standard and engineered cryogenic products, including our hydrogen solutions.”
Both TOMCO and Taylor-Wharton manufacture equipment for the storage and transport of industrial gases.
TOMCO focuses on the carbon dioxide (CO2) market, whereas Taylor-Wharton has a strong presence in the hydrogen market.
