AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE) is expanding into Germany as part of its broader strategy to accelerate commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy adoption across Europe. Leveraging its proven power purchase agreement (PPA) model, ADE enables businesses to deploy assets like rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) with zero upfront investment. This approach supports companies in cutting energy costs, boosting resilience, improving competitiveness, and achieving sustainability targets.

John Behan, CEO of ADE, said: “We’re on a mission to harness the power of onsite renewable energy and transform business energy resilience. With some of the highest energy costs in Europe, Germany was an obvious target market for us. It has huge potential for onsite PPAs, supported by ambitious renewable energy policies.”

The company has already contracted more than 50 MW of renewable capacity across approximately 50 sites in the UK and is now poised to build on that success in Germany. The new operations will be led by NickKoidl, who has been appointed Managing Director of Germany. He brings extensive experience in the energy and sustainability sector to guide ADE’s growth in one of Europe’s most advanced industrial markets
