Argent LNG evaluates Honeywell pre-treatment tech for natural gas

US energy company Argent LNG is assessing the use of pre-treatment technology from Honeywell, a global technology and manufacturing business, to remove contaminants from natural gas at its Port Fourchon project in Louisiana.

Honeywell is hoping to supply its mercury removal unit, its acid gas removal unit, and its SeparSIV unit to eliminate mercury, carbon dioxide, sulphur, water and heavy hydrocarbons.

The company completed a purchase of Air Products’ LNG process technology and equipment business last year. It is now offering more LNG product lines.

Jonathan Bass, CEO of Argent LNG, highlighted the importance of pre-treatment to support the delivery of LNG.
