Bokaro Power Supply Company (P) Limited has issued a fresh tender for the operation and maintenance of its 2.0 MW solar plant in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. The company, which is a joint venture between SAIL and Damodar Valley Corporation, continues to expand its renewable energy integration to support the power and steam requirements of the Bokaro Steel Plant. The tender, dated January 17, 2026, focuses on appointing a qualified agency to handle the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the installed solar capacity. This solar unit forms part of a larger 2.1 MWp rooftop and ground-mounted installation that BPSCL manages to reduce emissions and improve sustainability in its captive power operations.
The tender includes detailed conditions to ensure transparency and avoid duplication of bids. Offers from two or more bidders will not be accepted if they share the same PAN, GST number, postal address, email ID, or mobile number. The company has also clarified that a single individual cannot represent multiple bidders or sign more than one offer. These measures are intended to maintain fairness throughout the bidding process and prevent any conflict of interest. Bidders are required to follow the submission guidelines strictly, as all documents must comply with the terms listed in the e-Procurement Portal.
BPSCL has retained full authority to modify the tender documents, extend submission timelines, or reject any proposal at any stage. No specific reasons will be provided for such decisions, and bidders are not entitled to any compensation. The submission deadline will follow the dates mentioned on the portal, which usually fall within a 21- to 30-day window from the date of tender release for similar projects issued by the company. This tender reflects BPSCL’s steady move toward strengthening its renewable energy capabilities while ensuring efficient long-term maintenance of its solar assets.
