He shares his insights into the barriers to oxygen access, LeanMed’s current projects in Nigeria and Uganda, and the future plans for scaling production, which are designed to tackle the .
“Some of the most significant are a lack of grid electricity – it’s either non-existent, unreliable or very expensive,” he said. “The second major obstacle is the roads – you need only go 100 miles out of city centres and the only way they get the oxygen to these hospitals is transporting big tanks on diesel trucks.”
