Constellation and CSIRO to explore natural hydrogen and helium in Western Australia

Constellation Resources Limited has signed a research agreement with Australia’s national science agency CSIRO to search for natural helium and hydrogen in Western Australia.

Initially, the joint effort will focus on Constellation’s two basin-scale Edmund Collier and Yerrida projects. This will include CSIRO scientists evaluating several available datasets, which could identify the presence of gas.

The project is part funded by CSIRO’s kick-start programme, an initiative that provides funding and support for Australian start-ups with research expertise and capabilities.

Results from the initial work will support Constellation’s planned soil and gas sampling programmes, which could commence in early 2025, subject to completion of land access clearances.
