DMEGC Solar Becomes World’s Only Tier 1 Manufacturer To Earn DIBt Certification For Overhead Solar Applications

DMEGC Solar has officially received the DIBt certification from the German Institute for Construction Technology, marking a significant milestone for the company. Issued under approval number Z-70.3-309, the certification confirms that DMEGC Solar’s photovoltaic (PV) modules meet the highest safety and quality standards required for construction-related overhead applications. This includes both the General Technical Approval (abZ) and General Design Approval (aBG), and the certification is valid for five years.

This achievement makes DMEGC Solar the only Tier 1 solar module manufacturer globally to hold this specific certification for overhead PV structures. The process leading up to this approval involved two years of intensive preparation, comprehensive testing, and close coordination with relevant stakeholders. The DIBt approval process is known for its rigorous standards, requiring detailed technical documentation and strict adherence to German building regulations.

The certified products belong to DMEGC Solar’s Greenhouse Series, which features robust glass-glass modules available in various formats. These modules are specifically designed for overhead installations such as solar carports, pergolas, agricultural PV systems, and integrated PV solutions in public spaces. The certification addresses growing demand from European markets, particularly in the DACH region, BENELUX, and France, where such regulatory approvals are essential for construction-integrated PV projects.

With this certification, DMEGC Solar is well-positioned to support a wide range of applications requiring high safety and quality standards. This milestone reflects DMEGC Solar’s continued commitment to product safety, innovation, and meeting the evolving needs of the global solar energy market.
