Eastern Brazil state opens first biomethane facility as sector grows

The eastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais has opened its first biomethane facility.

The operation is a partnership between Brazil biogas firm Zeg Biogas and sugar cane producer Bioenergética Aroeira.

The development of biomethane in the region should cut fossil fuel dependency and promote renewable alternatives.
