Eastman Auto & Power Appoints Rakesh Agrawal to Head HV BESS and Inverter Operations

Rakesh Agrawal has been appointed President & CEO – HV BESS and Inverter Business at Eastman Auto & Power Limited, marking a key leadership development in India’s expanding energy storage and power electronics sector. In his new role, Agrawal will lead the strategy, growth, and operations of the company’s high-voltage battery energy storage systems (BESS) and inverter business, a segment expected to see significant growth alongside the country’s renewable energy expansion.

Prior to joining Eastman Auto & Power, Agrawal served as Head – BESS Business at ElectraEV, where he was responsible for driving go-to-market strategy, managing profit and loss operations, and overseeing end-to-end sourcing and supply chain management for the company’s energy storage initiatives.

Agrawal brings more than three decades of industry experience spanning the electric mobility ecosystem, energy storage technologies, and strategic supply chain management. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership positions at several major organizations, including JBM Group as AVP – Strategic Sourcing and SUN Mobility as Head of Supply Chain Management.

He has also worked in sourcing and operational leadership roles at companies such as Exicom and Schneider Electric, along with earlier positions at Electrotherm (India) Limited, Milacron India, Videocon Consumer Durables, and Secure Meters.

With his extensive experience across energy and mobility sectors, Agrawal is expected to play a key role in advancing Eastman’s BESS and inverter business as demand for grid storage and power solutions continues to grow.
