The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) stated that it was working to connect communities across Tajikistan to sustainable and reliable energy sources, aiming to help them fully utilize the country’s significant renewable energy potential. EBRD highlighted that Tajikistan holds considerable promise for green energy generation and that, in partnership with the European Union (EU).
Efforts were underway to turn that potential into tangible progress by developing a strong and dependable energy network to expand access to clean power across the country. The bank noted that, so far, 563 kilometers of pipes and cables had been laid, along with more than 26,000 meters of additional infrastructure. It emphasized that these steps were important milestones in helping Tajikistan and the broader Central Asian region harness renewable energy resources and move toward a cleaner, more sustainable, and resilient energy future.
