The way that some regulations around food safety are framed offers participants the chance to self-regulate their approach and state compliance without backing it up through truly systematic, granular testing.
The warning comes from France-based gas equipment specialist Cryostar, which said it is incumbent on all involved to go as far as possible in terms of demonstrating robustness in all regards.
“The food producers are in the spotlight here, but the bigger picture is that the whole supply chain in food needs to be robust, and that’s something we have taken to heart as a business,” says Philippe Fauvel, Head of Sales at Cryostar.
